Latest News:
On February 16th, 2009 the El Dorado City Commission discussed the possibility of putting an advisory question for a smoke free ordinance to a vote on the April 2009 ballot. The City Commission failed to act upon this and there was no advisory question present on the ballot. The proposed ordinance is modeled after the one passed by voters in Manhattan, KS, and would make almost all public places and workplaces smoke free. The vote would have been advisory only; the city would have still needed to approve the ordinance.
