JOHNSON COUNTY GOES SMOKE FREE
The Johnson County Commissioners voted 5 to 1 with 1 abstaining to pass a smoke-free ordinance for the unincorporated areas of Johnson County. Starting April 1, 2007, all public places within the unincorporated areas of the county will be smoke-free with the exception of two private clubs. The County Commission, however, only has authority over the unincorporated areas of the county.
