LEAWOOD GOES SMOKE FREE
On Monday, November 20, 2006 the Leawood council voted 7 to 1 to pass a smoke-free ordinance for the city. Based off the Overland Park ordinance and the agreement between Clean Air Kansas City and the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association, the ordinance will take effect January 2, 2008 and will have no exemptions except for outside patio seating and tobacco shops.
Take Action
If you live in Leawood or know someone who lives in Leawood please have them write or call the City Council to thank and congratulate them on passing a smoking ordinance that protects all workers.
