LENEXA GOES SMOKE FREE

The City Council passed a smoke free ordinance by a vote of 7-1 on July 2, 2007. It became effective January 2, 2008 and made all offices, restaurants, and bars in the city smoke free. The ordinance is similar to the ones passed in Leawood and Overland Park. After hearing from a few bar owners at the January 15th, 2008, council meeting, the Lenexa City Council decided against changing the city's new smoke free ordinance.
